Although Hamas knows that the IDF has a lot of information about their tunnels inside the Gaza Strip, the organization tried to create an offensive option for launching an attack by sea, this was supposed to be used by Hamas terrorists to take a surprise exit on the Israeli coast. The IDF announced today that last week an offensive tunnel had been set up in the Gaza Strip, allowing it to sail in the direction of the sea and allow a secret exit from a Hamas naval post to Israel, revealing more than anything else about the depth of information currently in Israel's possession about the tunnels in the Gaza Strip. Hamas understands that the IDF is destroying the usual tunnels they hold. Therefore, the organization is trying to reach other horizons, including tunnels that will allow Hamas fighters to enter Israel by sea. In the past, especially during Operation Tzuk Eitan in 2014, Hamas tried to carry out attacks from Gaza by sea. The most prominent among them is the same group of terrorists who infiltrated Israel via Zikim Beach. What, then, is different or different in this outline? Hamas dug a trench from their base in the Gaza Strip, a few dozen meters from the seashore, to hide the moment when the terrorists leave the base with their motorized "scooters." Their goal is to hide, so that the IDF will not see that they reach the shore, and then enter the water and leave

The device they planned in using is a scooter that operates on an electric motor and allows terrorists to move in water up to 10 kilometers per hour. This is quite a fast movement in terms of the sea. All this is done in order to reach the border and quickly reach any site in Israel. After the exposure of this new tunnel the IDF bombed the building from where they dug and apparently destroyed a large amount of equipment that was held by Hamas naval terrorists.
